Good as Gold
  by Brooks Peters

Brad Bigelow at www.NeglectedBooks.com, an especially entertaining and much-admired literary blog, has posted one of my recommendations: The Gilded Hearse by Charles O. Gorham. It’s a juicy pulp all about the book publishing business on the eve of World War II. You can read about it here.

While you’re there, be sure to read his illuminating take on Mary Astor as an author (above, in Life).  She was brilliant at whatever she did. Thanks Brad!
